Camp Tall Turf's ministry is centered on bringing God's message and ministry of reconciliation to every child, young person and adult it serves through its camp and community-based programs. However, for many years we have recognized that needed program improvements were largely dependent on new and improved facilities and equipment. The physical centerpiece of these improvements is a multi-purpose facility called the Proctor Youth and Family Center (YFC). The YFC was completed in 2001 and has welcomed in countless satisfied groups since then.

The Proctor YFC was designed to accommodate the growth in both our summer and year-round youth programs, currently serving more than 700 young people annually. It will also give us much needed additional space to accommodate and serve the needs of single parents and their children served through Single Parent Family Camps. Additionally, it will also provide our very first year-round retreat center for participants in each of our programs.

As our first year-round winterized facility, the Proctor YFC is now available on a rental basis, for retreats and conferences, to other organizations that share and support Tall Turf's mission and service orientation. Additional revenue generated from these rental fees is intended to support our existing programs and also allow us to move forward on exciting new programs.

Location

The camp facilities are located in Walkerville, Michigan in the southeastern Oceana County. The main camp area is located on the shores of Lake Campbell.
